Milano

The intervention involved a ground-floor office building on Watt St, consisting of six above-ground floors, garage, and central heating plant. The following were carried out fire safety design, active and passive protection engineering and safety coordination during design and execution for retrofit works.

The work was requested by the property owner as an alternative to a previous “deviation” project that had been onerous in terms of the computation of the works to be carried out.
The consultancy carried out by our management included a new Project Assessment, aimed at overall cost containment.
Following approval by the Milan Fire Dept, work was carried out to upgrade the active and passive protection systems and, subsequently, the SCIA VVF was submitted. Upon verification by the VVF Command, final authorization was obtained.

Tasks performed:

  • Project evaluation file with the approval of the VVF
  • Executive fire safety design
  • Feasibility study
  • Drafting of work specifications
  • SCIA VVF presentation with verification and positive outcome
